Do you want to end the game?
Player Minutes (PM) makes it easy for coaches to track the total minutes each of their players has participated in a game.

PM is completely free, and runs on any Android or iOS cell phone.

Unlike other tools for tracking player minutes, PM runs in your phone's web browser, eliminating the need to download and install an "app".

Data security is not an issue because PM doesn't require any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

It takes only a couple of minutes to enter your team's roster and begin using PM. If you wish, PM can save your roster so that you do not have to re-enter it for each game.

Save the Roster for Future Use

After entering your roster, you are now ready to track your players' minutes. If you wish to use the roster solely for today's game, then there is no need to save it. However, if you wish to re-use this roster in the future, then you must first save it so that it can be retrieved whenever you need it.

I don't need to save this roster. I'm going to use it for today's game, and then discard it.
I want to save this roster for use in future games.
To save this roster for future use, please enter a team name and a password, and then press "Save My Team's Roster". Because we do not ask for any confidential data such as email addresses or cell phone numbers, there is no need to use a complex password. Typically, coaches use a simple password that is easy to remember.

Move Inactive Players to Bottom

The player is on the sideline
The player could not attend the game

If you have players who cannot attend the game, you may mark them as ⛔ prior to starting the game clock, and you may move them to the bottom of the table by pressing the "Move Inactive Players" button.

After you have started the game clock, the status of absent players is "frozen" -- that is, you cannot move them into active status, nor can you shift active players into absent status.

Lastly, if you wish to move an individual player upwards or downwards in the table, you may do so by clicking on the player's current row number (in the left-hand column of the table), and then clicking again on the row to which you wish to move them.
Congrats on completing the game. We hope your team played well. After you navigate away from this page, the playing times in the table below will be discarded. However, if you wish, we can email you a copy of the table below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee to use Player Minutes?
Player Minutes is entirely free. There are no fees or hidden costs.
To use Player Minutes, do I have to set up an account for my team?
You can use Player Minutes without creating an account in which to save your team's roster. However, if you don't create an account then you will need to re-enter your team's roster each time you use Player Minutes.
Does Player Minutes work on any phone or tablet?
Yes.
If I create an account, who can access my team's information?
Each team's data is private and can be accessed solely by the coach or team administrator.
After saving a roster, can I subsequently make changes to it?
Yes, it is easy to add or remove players from an existing roster.
I forgot my password. Can you send me a password recovery link?
We do not offer password recovery. Providing such a service would require us to collect personal contact information such as your email address or cell phone number. In our view, the constant requests of websites and apps for personal information has become tiresome, and we therefore wish to avoid this practice.

Given that you are locked out of your account, you will need to take a few minutes to re-enter your roster. This minor nuisance is preferable, in our view, to asking you to share your private data with us.
Who created this website?
My name is Patrick Wiese. For the last few years, I've coached my daughter's soccer team. Prior to creating "Player Minutes", I found it difficult to track each player's time on the field. Often, a few kids ended up on the short end of the stick, with significantly fewer minutes compared to other kids. I tried various apps for managing player time, but found them hard to operate while simultaneously focusing on the game. I wanted a simple tool: something I could run on a cell phone, and which I could easily operate without losing my focus on the game. Dissatisfied with the existing apps, I created Player Minutes (PM). PM fits my needs, but I'm open to suggestions for improvements. Feel free to share your ideas with me:

SoccerDad@PlayerMinutes.com.
My team's account appears to have been erased. Why did this occur?
If a team's account goes unused for more than 12 months, we assume that the team no longer exists, and we erase the associated account.
While tracking player minutes during a game, what happens if I accidentally close the web browser window?
Closing the browser window during a game is equivalent to resetting the game clock -- when you reopen the browser and restart the stopwatch, each player will begin with zero minutes. We are working on an improved version of this app which will preserve player minutes even if the browser window is accidentally closed. We intend to release this version in the fall of 2024.
